McCarthy Wins HS Top Pitcher Award Thursday, April 1st , 2060 When Woodstock HS reliever Dominick McCarthy strolled in from the bullpen in March, it did not bode well for the opposing team. He usually put a quick end to any budding rally. For his excellent mound work he was named the High School Pitcher of the Month. The Woodpeckers reliever had 8 saves for the month with a 1-0 record and 0.00 ERA. He made 9 relief appearances, hurled 11 innings, yielded 7 hits, fanned 14 and walked 4. |
