McAnally Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Cullman HS Friday, March 19th , 2060 Jackson HS defeated Cullman HS 8-3 today at Cavs Park, but saw the 21-game hitting streak of Polar Bears center fielder Avon McAnally snapped -- the Cavaliers held McAnally hitless in 3 at-bats. "I enjoyed the streak," he said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the win today. That's all that really counts." McAnally is batting at a .406 pace this season, picking up 43 hits in 106 at-bats with 6 home runs, 30 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |
