Holguin Torches Blue Devils for 6 Hits

Phoenix Holguin was sizzling at the plate. The White Hall HS shortstop blistered the Poly Prep Country Day School Blue Devils for 6 hits in 11 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to defeat, 17-15.
"Holguin was too tough to get out today," Blue Devils skipper Edwin Briggs said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 6 hits off us, as long as we win."
Phoenix Holguin flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Aiden Riordan in the 8th, hit a two-run double in the 9th, flied out in the 11th, grounded out in the 13th, singled in the 15th, singled in the 17th, flied out in the 19th, hit a solo-shot off Wyatt Daniels in the 22nd and flied out in the 24th.
