5-Hit Blitz by Westmoreland Friday, March 5th , 2060 The Lake Travis Captains stopped the Notre Dame HS Knights by a score of 6-0 at Knight Park today, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Vince Westmoreland. The 17-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Westmoreland said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Westmoreland did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Knights. "Not much that I can say," offered Notre Dame HS manager Chayse Tijerina. "He just hammered the heck out of us." Vince Westmoreland singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
