Ware Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Sunday, February 17th , 2058 Al Ware roughed up Carroll HS Dragons pitching in a big way at The Lair today, leading the Notre Dame HS to a 10-6 win. With his parents and family watching from the stands, the 16-year-old right fielder put on a magnificent show, hitting for the cycle -- collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. "It was a good day for that to happen," a beaming Ware said after the game. "I really got some good looks and delivered. Sometimes you're just on." He finished his historic day with 4 hits in 6 at-bats, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Al Ware tripled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th, doubled in the 11th and hit a two-run home run off Eric Strange in the 12th.
