Wareham Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game Tuesday, April 21st , 2065 Depending on your loyalties, the Round 1 was either thrilling or heartbreaking. The series went down to its final game, with the Wareham Gatemen and the Brewster Whitecaps giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Gatemen came out on top, winning 6-5 at Stony Brook Field today to take the series 2-1. "We're lucky to be going into the Round 2," said Wareham pitcher Coda Alfaro. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason." Alfaro earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .400 average, with 1 home runs, 4 RBI and 5 runs scored.
