Smith Clips Roadrunners for Cycle Thursday, May 15th , 2064 Lowell's Mason Smith accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Smith finished 4-for-5 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored and helped the Patriots knock off the Erie Roadrunners, 10-2, at Legions Ballpark. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Smith told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Mason Smith doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Alexzander Billings in the 4th, singled in the 6th and tripled in the 9th.
