Patriots Stop Barbee at 21
Monday, May 12th , 2059
Logan Barbee saw his 21-game hitting streak wither and die today during the Reading Railers win over Lowell at Ballpark of Paradise. The 21-year-old center fielder was held hitless in 5 at-bats by the Lowell Patriots, but his teammates produced enough offense to take the game, 5-4.

"Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Barbee told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 21 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good."

This year Barbee has batted at a .381 pace with 37 hits, 9 home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 27 times.
