Roadrunners Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Saturday, August 16th , 2059 The Erie Roadrunners have a new opponent: mathematics. The Roadrunners still have games to play in their disappointing 2059 campaign, but the numbers say they won't mean much -- the Roadrunners were today mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason. The Roadrunners have missed the playoffs 59 times in their 82 years as a Bush League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2054. In the last 10 seasons, the Roadrunners have only made the playoffs once. Erie last won the Bush Championship in 2014. |
