Hanneken Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, August 1st , 2059 The number just keeps getting higher. Eugene left fielder Dominick Hanneken has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 3 hits in 6 at-bats as the Eugene took the 9-4 win over the Hondo Outlaws at Field of the Duellists. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Hondo manager Toby Chandler said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Dominick Hanneken hit a solo-shot off Branden DeFeo in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. So far this season Hanneken has gotten 128 hits in 369 at-bats for a .347 batting average with 18 home runs. His stats include 83 RBIs and 63 runs scored. He has played in 90 games. |
