Hitting Streak Still Alive for Mondragon Sunday, June 8th , 2059 Adrien Mondragon has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 23-year-old Flushing Chiefs center fielder extended his streak today to 20 games, going 1-for-6 as Flushing got the best of the Tucson Toros at Gulf Coast Field, 7-6. "Adrien has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Chiefs manager Dusty Green said. Adrien Mondragon flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th, grounded out in the 10th and grounded out in the 12th. On the season, Mondragon is batting .362 with 4 home runs and 32 RBIs. He has played in 45 games. |
