Richmond Sweeps Horizon Cup
Sunday, September 27th , 2065
The season came to a crashing halt for the Allentown A's when the Richmond Rams beat them 3-2 today at Millers Ballpark to sweep the Horizon Cup 2-0.

Fans in Richmond have already begun the celebration, and officials are expecting huge numbers when the championship parade takes place in a few days.

"Unbelievable for us, for our fans," an elated Rams skipper Rogan Baris said. "This team has worked as hard as any team ever. They deserve it. What these guys have done, they're going to enjoy for a long time."

This was the 13th championship for the Rams.

After the game, Allentown manager Scott Gomez was asked by reporters what it's like to lose in the Horizon Cup.

"You want the results to be different," he said. "They simply outplayed us, they deserve it. They beat us. They're the champions."

Richmond finished the season with a record of 78-42 and ranked first in the Blue Chip Coalition Eastern Division.
