Going, Going, Gone! Brunet Hits 3 Homers

Jay Brunet was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 11-3 New York Comets triumph at Ballpark of New York.
The 25-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Comets past the Quebec Fighting Quakers.
"One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Brunet told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate."
The shortstop went 3-for-4, rung up 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day.
Jay Brunet flied out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Grant Stephan in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Zachary Ganzer in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Darrin Carney in the 7th.
Brunet is currently hitting at a .286 pace with 5 home runs, 6 RBIs and has scored 8 times.
