Des Plaines Moves on to Divisional Series Friday, September 12th , 2059 Members of the Des Plaines Golden Heroes couldn't hold back their emotions after beating the Richmond Rams in the final game of the Wild Card. "It's just been such a roller coaster," said Golden Heroes starting pitcher Carter Bell after the club's 3-2 win. "You play all season and then everything comes down to this one game. We know how easily we could have been on the other side of it." The other side was a subdued Rams clubhouse, where players packed up their belongings and headed home for the year, with a somber mood in the air. For the series, Bell was named MVP, as he had a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched. He added 8 strikeouts and picked up 1 win.
