Bell Pitches Golden Heroes to Shutout Victory Wednesday, September 10th , 2059 The Des Plaines Golden Heroes did little to support starter Carter Bell against the Richmond Rams, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The left-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Rams, striking out 8 and surrendering 3 hits. The performance from Bell allowed Des Plaines to escape with the 1-0 win despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said 'Carter, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Bell told BNN reporters following the win.
