Fedunina Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Tuesday, September 2nd , 2059 Neil Fedunina's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Quebec. The 24-year-old second baseman extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 2-for-4 performance against the New York Comets. The Fighting Quakers took the game, 9-1. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Neil Fedunina struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Thomas Bruner in the 7th and walked in the 9th. So far on the season Fedunina is hitting .342 with 7 home runs, 55 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has 132 hits and played in 97 games. |
