The Blue Chip Coalition Western Division club have battled to the bitter end and have come up with a wild card berth. "It's satisfying to clinch the playoffs so late in the season," said second baseman Randy Boyd. "You start to doubt yourself and wonder if you can even make it." But the Chiefs have in fact made it, with their 64-54 record holding up to now give them a chance at the franchise's 5th Horizon League championship. |
