Playoffs Won't Happen for Flyers Saturday, August 30th , 2059 The Flagstaff Flyers may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in Horizon League. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Flyers manager Tom Hoyle said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." This is the club's 5th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2054.In total, the Flyers have missed the playoffs 68 times in their 82-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Flyers have missed the playoffs 6 times. |
