Hit Streak Now at 20 for Turner Thursday, July 17th , 2059 Flushing center fielder Cody Turner keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 1 hit at Playboys Ballpark today. The Chiefs took the 4-2 victory over the Des Plaines Golden Heroes. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Turner said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Cody Turner grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. Looking at his stats this year, Turner has compiled a .352 batting average, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 24 runs. He has played in 69 games and scored 54 runs. |
