Season Ends for Blake Clermont of Phoenix
Thursday, May 5th, 2044
The doctors have spoken and Blake Clermont of the Phoenix Roadrunners didn't like what he heard. The 28-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Clermont sustained his season-ending injury during the Washington Bats game yesterday at The Birdnest. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Phoenix medical staff reported Clermont had a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10-11 months.
This season Clermont has made 6 relief appearances with no saves. His won-lost record is 0-0 with a 2.89 ERA.
