IL Star of the Week Honored Monday, May 12th , 2059 His face might be sunbaked after all the years he's invested in this game, but 36-year-old Tyrek Schaaf of the Phoenix Roadrunners is still playing a kid's game -- and getting paid for it. The veteran third baseman had a tremendous week and was named the Import League Player of the Week. Schaaf drilled 7 hits in 16 at-bats and 4 home runs on his way to posting a .438 average. He also knocked in 8 runs and scored 8 times. Thus far this year Schaaf is batting .296 with 6 home runs, 17 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
