Star of the Week Named in IL Monday, May 4th , 2065 26-year-old Keegan Jewett sent shock waves through Brewers League Baseball last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Import League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Jewett made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .379 average, 11 hits in 29 at-bats, 4 home runs and 11 runs batted in. Where the Philadelphia Freedom shortstop goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Jewett certainly made his mark last week. This season, Jewett has hit 6 home runs and posted a .288 batting average. |
