Hullinger Raps 3 HR Against Muckdogs Thursday, September 28th , 2051 It was a good day for the Seattle Pilots and an exceptional one for Colby Hullinger. The 34-year-old third baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Pilots beat the Batavia Muckdogs 5-4 at Lawrence Stadium. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Hullinger said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 4 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats. Colby Hullinger hit a solo-shot off Ed Bytheway in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Ed Bytheway in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Joey Fleury in the 8th. Presently Hullinger is hitting .282 with 17 home runs and 75 RBIs. He has played in 124 games and scored 76 times. |
