Playoffs Won't Happen for Whalers Sunday, September 28th , 2059 Members of the Hartford Whalers are left wondering what could have been today, as the team has been eliminated from postseason contention. "You look back at a handful of games that easily could have gone the other way for us," said closer Jamal Brown. "We really think we were good enough to get to the playoffs this year, so it stings." This is the club's 3rd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2056.In total, the Whalers have missed the playoffs 57 times in their 82-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Whalers have missed the playoffs 6 times. Hartford has won the Brewmasters Cup 2 times in their history. |
