Canadians Snap Shaneyfelt's Streak at 21 Thursday, August 28th , 2059 The Canadians stopped Jarrett Shaneyfelt's 21-game hitting streak today at Old Port Park, but they couldn't stop the Maine Guides, falling by the score of 3-2. Shaneyfelt didn't get a hit for the first time in weeks, finishing 0-for-1. "It's just as well," Guides manager Marty Kennedy said. "We couldn't spend the whole season going out of our way not to jinx him." For the year Shaneyfelt has hit at a .306 clip with 61 RBIs, 19 home runs and 77 runs scored. |
