Great Week for California's Brian Vanderzee Monday, August 15th , 2050 24-year-old Brian Vanderzee sent shock waves through Brewers League Baseball last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Import League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Vanderzee made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .421 average, 8 hits in 19 at-bats, 4 home runs and 7 RBI. Where the California Kodiaks center fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Vanderzee certainly made his mark last week. This season Vanderzee is swinging the bat at a .233 rate with 80 hits in 343 at-bats. To date he has hit 10 home runs, scored 42 runs and driven in 34. |
