Hastings Brilliant, Fans 16 Tuesday, July 1st , 2059 Everything was working for Zane Hastings today at Dylan Owens Stadium. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The curveball was working. In an unforgettable performance, the 26-year-old Hastings fanned 16 Drillers and sparked the Toronto Canadians to a 7-6 victory over Dallas. He left Drillers hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Toronto manager Tom Dingman. "His location and command were really something." In addition to collecting 16 strikeouts over 7.2 innings, Hastings allowed 5 hits and no walks in a superlative outing. "I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Hastings said with a smile.
