USA's Cundiff Takes 2060 Most Valuable Player Award

The future looks extremely bright for Devon Cundiff. At the age of 22, many players are still trying to find their way in World Baseball Classic.

Cundiff has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the World Baseball Classic Most Valuable Player Award.

"I didn't expect to hit .316 this year, that's for sure," the center fielder said.

The USA star also put up a .372 on-base percentage this year, with 25 hits, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs, 15 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

He received 3 first place votes out of a possible 6. Jordy Wovchanoff of the Asia finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Neall Rabah of the Africa finished third.
