Home Loss Shrinks Bulldogs Series Lead to 3-2
The New York Cyclones have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Baltimore Bulldogs, winning 5-4 at Hurricane Rice Arena today. Cyclones left-hander Alex Landrum threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Cyclones to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.

Had Parker Capalbo not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Capalbo hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Cyclones.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said New York manager Dave Taylor.

The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 17th , 2059 at Kennedy Field at Metropolitan Stadium in New York.
