Kodiaks Even With Bulls After Home Win
|
The California Kodiaks and the Denver Bulls will take the Divisional Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Kodiaks beat the Bulls 4-2 at In-N-Out Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. California right-hander Charlie Spence had a big role in the win. He threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball.
Spence was in the zone all game. He frustrated Denver hitters while giving the Kodiaks 7.1 innings of quality work. Spence threw 114 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 12 punchouts.
"It's a mindset," said Spence. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, October 24th , 2062 at Rocky Top Park in Denver.
