Blackbirds Win League Championship
The Omaha Blackbirds and Rochester Monarchs put on a classic League Championship that was in question until the final game.

In the end, Omaha won the deciding contest by a score of 8-1, to take the series 2-1.

"It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Henry Keddie, who earned series MVP honors for Omaha. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now."

For the series, Keddie hit .500 with a .538 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Rookie Cup matchups and schedule will be announced after the League Championship finishes.
