Reading Takes League Championship
|
The Reading Railers outclassed the Evansville Hit Kings in all facets of the game throughout the HL League Championship.
The end result was a Reading series sweep to advance to the Bush Championship, capped off by a 4-3 win in the final game.
"We're a bit surprised it's over in a sweep, to be honest with you," said center fielder Sebastian Robinson, who hit .625 in the series.
Robinson's standout effort garnered him MVP honors. He also put up a .625 on-base percentage and had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 1 runs.
The Bush Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the League Championship finishes.
