Ottawa Takes Divisional Series
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Futures Federation Divisional Series. It turned out quite a bit different.


The Ottawa Beavers swept aside the Quebec Fighting Quakers to advance to the League Championship, winning the final game by a 2-0 score at The Rock.

The series MVP was catcher Elmer Duquette, who hit .429 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 1 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The League Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
