New Orleans Voodoo starter Tony Whitley had all his pitches working at Henry Byrd Field. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 New Orleans win over the Montreal Exports. The third-place Voodoo have won 4 straight.

Rayford Kimmons had a big 3-run home run for the Voodoo in the bottom of the fourth inning. With New Orleans leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a curveball from 34-year old right-handed pitcher Marcel Ström and punished it. The result was his 12th home run of the season, which put the Voodoo on top, 6-1.

Montreal manager Israel Montero said his team was "out of sync."
