Thunderbirds Advance to Divisional Series
Andrew Stejskal said he expected the Wild Card to be "a battle from start to finish."

In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Vancouver Thunderbirds encountered little resistance in sweeping the Bakersfield Cannons, to advance to the Divisional Series.

"It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Stejskal.

Vancouver won the final game by a 7-2 count and were led in the series by Stejskal, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .625 with 0 home runs. He also drove in 0 RBI and scored 2 runs.

The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card finishes.
