Sweet 16 Goes the Distance, Hoover HS Prevails
|
The Hoover HS Pirates and Deer Park HS Falcons hooked up in a classic Sweet 16 that went right down to the wire.
In the end, it's Hoover HS heading off to the Quarterfinals, after a 5-0 win at The Falcon Nest tonight earned the 2-1 series win.
Outside The Falcon Nest, whether they were supporters of Hoover HS or Deer Park HS, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget.
Louis May played the hero for the Pirates in the series, as his MVP performance included a .462 batting average, with a .533 on-base percentage. He also had 2 home runs, 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.
