Harvard-Westlake Sweeps into the Quarterfinals
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the High School Sweet 16. It turned out quite a bit different.


The Harvard-Westlake Wild Cats swept aside the Jackson HS Polar Bears to advance to the Quarterfinals, winning the final game by a 9-3 score at The Bear Den.

The series MVP was left fielder J.P. Jones, who hit .556 with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 3 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The Quarterfinals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes.
