Muller Belts 2 Homers in 4-3 Win
|
Los Angeles beat California at In-N-Out Field, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to left fielder Walter Muller. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Brock Hagenah got the win, improving to 2-7. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 0. The Sharks raised their record to 32-46.
With Los Angeles trailing 3-1 in the top of the fifth, Muller hit a sinker from Auston Stretton for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Sharks ahead, 4-3.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Muller told the Los Angeles News.
