In a tight contest at Tobs Stadium, the Baltimore Bulldogs edged the Carolina Tobs by the score of 5-4. Baltimore designated hitter Val Schmit, who blasted 2 home runs, was a key contributor. The first-place Bulldogs sport a record of 57-25.

Baltimore used the timely hitting of Cole Watson to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Bulldogs on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Exciting game to play in," said Watson. "Getting the win makes it even better."
