Tobs Fall Short, 4-3, at Los Angeles
|
Los Angeles pitcher Conner Flowers did his part in helping his team beat the Carolina Tobs, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jace Yager, credited with the save, is now 17 for 22 in save opportunities. The Dinos bumped their record to 42-34 with this latest triumph.
Rob Detling, who finished 3rd in the IL in hits with 186 in 2060, aided the Los Angeles cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
After the game, Los Angeles manager K.J. Young applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
