Batavia got a strong outing from Max Kidd as the Muckdogs defeated the New York Cyclones, 9-2, at Kennedy Field at Metropolitan Stadium. With the win, Batavia pushed its record to 41-35.

Batavia took control in the top of the seventh. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Steven Fink hit a run-scoring single to make it 1-0, Muckdogs.

"I wish every win came this easy," said Fink.
