|
The New York Cyclones topped the Philadelphia Freedom, 7-4, in Import League action at Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of New York pitcher Oscar Dudzik. Dudzik, now 8-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 10, walking 1, and allowing 4 runs. Braden Allen earned the save for New York, his 1st of the year.
Zechariah Norkus, the former first round draft pick , had a direct impact on the outcome. Norkus contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put New York up, 3-2.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Dudzik told the New York Daily News.
