The New York Cyclones and Denver Bulls obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

The Denver Bulls got a superb performance from pitcher Saxby Lucas, but the New York Cyclones still won the game, 5-4. Lucas threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs. Earning his 16th save for New York was Percival Butler.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Keith Friday was at the plate when New York scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Cyclones to go in front, 4-3.

"It's fun when you can help the team win games," said Friday.

With the win, the Cyclones have a record of 32-38.
