Sorcery Win with Late Heroics
The Wilmington Sorcery took Syracuse pitcher Tommy McGue's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Riverfront Park. The final score had Wilmington getting past the Snappers, 6-4. McGue went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 5. Brandon Tyler picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Calvin Gunderson suffered the loss. Syracuse is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 9 games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Henry Lennox in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 29-year old left-handed pitcher Bailey Kelly to win the game for Wilmington. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Lennox said.
