Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Pittsburgh Millers and New Orleans Voodoo.

A good performance from second baseman Jay Sharpe helped the Pittsburgh Millers defeat the New Orleans Voodoo, 5-4. Sharpe went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Millers. Dylan Montgomery got the win, improving to 7-2. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 0. Alan Scott earned the save for Pittsburgh, his 2nd.

Sharpe had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 0-1 curveball from Oscar Kiss, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Millers a 5-4 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Sharpe.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said New Orleans manager Grant Driscoll.

The win for the Millers raised their record to 35-33.
