Exports Take Down Patriots, 4-2
|
Montreal Exports starter Jakob Hilliard turned in a top-notch performance against the Pawtucket Patriots at Pawtucket Park. The result was a win for the Exports, 4-2. Montreal pitcher L.J. Reed got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Cullen Lanzetta got the loss. Andy McDowell closed the game out for Montreal, earning his 2nd save.
Montreal used the timely hitting of Henry Miller to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Exports on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Hilliard.
Montreal now sits at 34-35, while Pawtucket falls to 32-37.
