Kodiaks Nip Bats, 4-3
|
The California Kodiaks did just enough to secure a victory over the Washington Bats, 4-3, at In-N-Out Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Bobby Ferguson. The save was credited to Peyton Gerber, his 14th. At 37-33, the Kodiaks are currently second in the Import League Bock Division.
Al Wagner contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped California get the win.
After the game, California manager Louie Sumski applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
