Great Day for Perkins -- 5 Hits
Cole Perkins was at the head of a Puhi hit parade today at Hound Dogs Stadium. The third baseman went to the plate 7 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Dolphins to a 13-12 victory over the Cleveland Bobcats.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Perkins told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Bobcats skipper Ed Gainer said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Cole Perkins tripled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th and singled in the 11th.

So far this year Perkins is hitting .389 with 2 home runs.
