The Dallas Drillers defeated the Hartford Whalers, 5-3, in Domestic League action at The Driller Dugout. Dallas pitcher Brendan Allison had a standout performance. Derek Bane collected save number 1. The win lifts Dallas to a record of 1-6.

The Drillers got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ja'Quan McLaren. For the game, McLaren went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Dallas a 4-1 lead.
