Snappers Lose By a Run at Seattle
|
The Seattle Pilots did just enough to sneak past the Syracuse Snappers, 4-3, at The Port of Seattle. Seattle pitcher Spencer Farwell, in particular, had a standout performance. The Pilots saw their win-loss record go to 40-23. At the same time, the Snappers fell to 25-40.
Seattle took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Al Wagner hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Pilots.
Seattle manager Masuho Ogawa was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
